Litchfield Park Festival of the Arts

One of the most anticipated events of the year is coming November 3 and 4th.The Historic Downtown Litchfield Park hosts the ever popular Litchfield Park Festival and Arts.  This event will showcase over 300 fine artists and craftsmen exhibiting their unique wares.  There will also be other types of entertainment such as book signings, artist talks and demonstrations and an antique book sale. Creative Financing for Real EstateThe recent credit crunch has brought back to life creative financing.  Though creative financing can be a good way to acquire property it has its own traps.  Investors and buyers should be careful about employing certain acquisition tactics.  Wraparound or "wraps" especially can be a risky proposition.  This is a financing method that should only be considered if the loan does not have a due on sale clause.  Since almost all loans if not all have a due on sale clause, the wrap around should  not be used.  The risk is that employing a wrap in fact trigger the due on sale clause putting the original owner and the new owner in a position of having to cure the loan immediately.  If a wrap is used the additional risk…

Kerr Cultural Center

This wonderful tradition come alive this time of year.El Dia de los Muertos is a public holiday in Mexico and is a very popular celebration in Arizona. The Day of the Dead as it is called in English is a two day ritual that the natives of Mexico have been practicing for more than 3,000 years. Aztecs and other Latin civilization regarded death as a continuation of life, not the end.  It is traditional for families to build alters in their homes for dead ancestors.  On these alters family members would place flowers, foods, photos or paintings of those departed and lighted candles.On the first two days of November people may wear wooden skull masks, also called calacas and dance to honor those who have past on.
