Affluent baby boomers boost home sales in active retirement communities

Sales of homes aimed at retirement-age adults are doing well in the Valley, according to Shea Homes Active Lifestyle Communities. In a statement on Friday, Shea said it had sold 220 homes at Trilogy at Vistancia in Peoria and at Encanterra in Queen Creek during the first four months of 2008. That's a 10 percent increase from the same time frame last year for the two communities.
