Market Place has a great article and interview about the aftermath of a foreclosure.  Many people fell for the loan trap the last few years, even well educated people who just wanted a home.  Many could not believe that they could qualify for a home loan, but after the aggressive loans have had the rates corrected the new home owners find our that in fact they cannot afford the home and many loose it in foreclosure.
