The Mangat Recognition Award recognizes medical organizations that are unparalleled in  nursing excellence, quality of care, and patient satisfaction.  This award raises consumer awareness to the quality of care they can expect to receive from a facility. In 2006 Scottsdale Health Care became the very first multiple hospital health care system in Arizona to receive this prestigious award.   In order to be considered for this award, participants must complete detailed documentation, on-site survey, and an in-depth interview process. Scottsdale Healthcare is comprised of the Virginia G. Piper cancer Center, Osborn and Shea hospitals, Home Health, and Community Health and the brand new Scottsdale Heathcare Thompson Peak. This organizations areas of excellence are Cancer, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Women's Services and Bariatrics. This is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1962, today they are the premier health care provider for the entire Northeast Valley.
