| December 11, 2007 | | A 1960's Architectural Gem in Arcadia Phoenix. | The upscale Arcadia Neighborhood has an architectural gem on the South East corner of 44th st. and Camelback Rd.
(Photo Courtesy of Artur Ciesielski, CCIM) This area is slated to be redeveloped the the trend toward greater density continues and the area becomes more popular. This bank built in the 1960's is a unique structure on the Phoenix landscape. The architecture pays homage to the Frank Lloyd Wright.
(Photo: Artur Ciesielski, CCIM) This gem is in dispute between preservationists and those that want to develop this large 5 acre prime lot. I don't know what the right decision is. It should be preserved if it can be but what about property owner's rights? Maybe it can be moved to another location. Either way, if you like architecture go see this structure in person before it disappears.
