Sunnyslope East, East of 7th St. may or may not be considered part of Sunnyslope, but it is.  This is an area bordered by the Phoenix Mountains on the North and East down to around Northern on the South.

 
Sunnyslope East is a mixture of houses, condos and apartments.  All along the mountains you will find hill side luxury homes either new or older.  There are newer communities like the Cliffs at Pointe Tapatio, a gated community of Tuscan style homes, or a bit older ones like the Point resort plus a mixture of great older small homes of many styles.

In recent years people have come to these areas and make these older homes special by making them fit for today's life but retaining their character.  Its quite a pleasure to drive or ride a bike down these streets an enjoy the various types of homes.  It’s so much different from the new communities with hundreds of homes that all look alike.

For instance, drive East from Cave Creek Rd. East on Mountain View road.  You’ll first pass some apartment communities, a few fourplexes that make great investments, since this is a great rental area as well, then you’ll see older homes. As you approach the mountains you’ll start to see some homes that have been remodeled.  They are contemporary and a joy to look at.  Some have been featured in major magazines.  The streets are lined with mature lush desert landscaping and the streets wind around the houses, no grid streets here.  As you approach the mountain you will see home that will be just as comfortable on the sides of Camelback Mountain and Paradise Valley with no feeling of inferiority.
