| March 27, 2008 | | Paradise Gardens a subdivision by Al Beadle | The Paradise Gardens subdivision in North East Phoenix is an Al Beadle designed subdivision. It is the only residential subdivision designed by Al Beadle. Its located north of Mountain View Rd between 36th St and 32nd St.
Some of the highlights of the subdivision - Great location near the Phoenix mountains
Mountains views. - Large lots - they seem to be just right in size for most people.
- Al Beadle Design.
- Great looking buildings with lots of potential.
- Unique human sized architecture.
- Mid-Century Modern design which is experiencing a resurgence.
- Original compared to the stucco track homes of many neighborhoods
- No HOA - make the home your own - drive the subdivision to see some excellent remodels.

Homes are usually three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a median size of 1,500sf. Most have a 2 car carport but many have made them into garages. The resurgence of interest in Phoenix’s mid century modern architecture means that such homes are in demand. This demand for a limited stock has increase prices a lot, despite the waning market we are in. Because good examples of mid century modern are of limited supply and more people are discovering them, they have additional value which will help keep prices up and demand as well. Not everyone will like these homes but for those interested in modern homes, this is one of only a few such places left and you can make the home yours as many still require renovation, just expect to pay a premium compared to other ranch homes. | |
