When we first drove into the Mountain View Park neighborhood it was an unusual day made even more uncommon by the weather. It was October, the sky was overcast and our list of homes to view long. We were searching for a home near the Phoenix Mountain Preserve Our search took us to many areas surrounding the Phoenix Mountains but this one was different. Its well hidden away. There are only two small roads that lead into the subdivison. You can tell that you're entering it not by any posts or signs but by the change in the asphalt. Before it's rough and after its smooth because it's a private street. What captivated us most was the cul-de-sacs; there are several cul-de-sacs each has a huge mature tree in the middle and no home on the end. The end is either the Mountain Preserve or a wash. The first one that we entered was so lush with manicured greener, grown over and with running water in the wash that it seemed very much out of this area. You don't see homes here next to a creek and this is exactly what it looked like. As you approach the Preserve there is one last cul-de-sac which has no homes on it but is simply a gateway to to the Phoenix Mountains and Piestewa Peak straight ahead. See homes for sale in Mountain View Park. There are usually only one or two at most for sale. mainly because we enjoy hiking and mountain biking but we wanted to be near the urban area of Phoenix while still in a quiet and secluded neighborhood. |
