Rancho Alta Vida in North East Phoenix | About and Homes for Sale

A prestegious neighborhood on the North foothills of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.

Rancho Alta Vida is on the border of Phoenix and Paradise Valley: in the North Foothills of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve a very unique area in the valley.

Characteristics which make the area unique.  Mostly all homes are single story and custom or customized.  Over the years most homes have been remodeled: there is a mixture of contemporary, eclectic and tuscanite architectural styles but the bones more or less are all the same.

When you drive into the subdivision it feels smaller then it is.  While still not a bid neighborhood the large lots and curving streets creates a more private feel.  Just to the south is the Phoenix Mountain Preserve with many trails throughout: these are great for hiking and mountain biking: there is also direct access to Piestewa Peak with some spectacular panoramic views of the valley.

A community tennis court helps diversify the activities: but the seclusion is limited because the all the fun the valley has to offer is easily accessibly by Tatum Blvd or Shea Blvd, the main intersection streets.

Rancho Alta Vida

Great neighborhood to live in

We owned a home in Rancho Alta Vida when we moved back to Arizona, and I agree that it's a very unique neighborhood, that's very central to shopping and hiking. Being so close to the mountains was what drew us to the area.

Folklore was that the area was originally owned by the Miller Brewing company, as a company getaway - hence the name, which I've been told means Ranch of the High Life!

Rancho Alta Vida neighborhood history.

@Dru,

Thanks for the neighborhood history input.  I always enjoy knowing more of the origins of a area or history in general.
