| September 30, 2008 | | Several walking routes have been created for visitors to enjoy and explore Downtown Scottsdale |
Walking is not something Phoenicians do much of. I rarely see anyone
in the streets on a walk: though, the hiking trails in places like
Camelback Mountain and the Phoenix mountain Preserve seem to be quite
popular: still, it's hard to see any value in sidewalks along city
streets. Maybe that's why Paradise Valley has very few sidewalks,
especially, along the residential streets. Some are trying to change that. "Downtown Scottsdale is one of the most acclaimed tourist areas in the state of Arizona
featuring an eclectic mix art galleries, specialty retail, upscale
dining and nightlife and cultural attractions for residents and
visitors alike." and the city has created several walking routes for visitors and residents to enjoy.
There are three walks with accompanying maps. Select a walk below to open a PDF map.
