| September 29, 2007 | | The genius of Frank LLoyd Wright in the Sonora Desert. | The Taliesin West was the winter home of Frank Lloyd Wright and to this day still houses the the school for architects that he began in 1932. This wonderful historical remnant is preserved thanks to The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving the works of this beloved architect. Tours for the house are offered Thursday and Friday through October. This is a twilight tour which offers the unique chance to see this architectural masterpiece in an evening nighttime setting. The tour allows you to wander through many parts of the house, the grounds an finishes at the theater with a movie about Wright and his architectural achievements. The Taliesen West also offers a wonderful gift shop where you can purchase high quality Frank Lloyd Wright products as well as support the wonderful program and activities offered at the Taliesen. | |
