How does the Phoenix real estate market compare to the national.

The Greater Phoenix real estate market and National Date for October 2007

The NAR reports about October 2007 National home sales.  Take a look at the National numbers and then compare them to the Greater Phoenix home resale numbers.
 
Some notes.
1.  Single family home sales were stable in October but the condo sector was down.


2.  All home sales were down by 1.2% seasonally adjusted, to 4.97 million (5.03 million) in September, and down 20.7% from last year.


3.  median resale home pricing was at $207,800, down 5.1% from 2006.


4.  Total inventory rose by 1.9% to 4.45 million, a 10.8 month supply.

 
5.  Condo resale sales were down 9.1% from 600,000 units.   This is 20.5% down from 2006.


6.  The median resale price int he West in October was down 4.4% from September and 6.9% down from 2006.  October median home price in the West was $318,200, compared to Northeast: $258,700, South: $171,400 and Midwest: $164,000.
