Greater Phoenix homes sale up or down?

Home resale data in Greater Phoenix
According to  the data put out by ASU Polytechnic the number of homes sold in April was 5,585.  This number will probably be revised down because it contained properties which should be kept out side the realm of these statistics.

Based on this data the sale were up 15% from last year. 

Take a look at the sold properties provided by the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (ARMLS),  sales were up over March but down from 5,535 last year to 4,874 this year.  The trends are opposite.  ASU is up, ARMLS is down, but both are up from March.
