Central Corridor in North Central Phoenix

About the lush Central Corridor in North Central Phoenix, Homes and Properties.

The Central Corridor in North Central Phoenix is one of the high-end neighborhoods in the Phoenix valley.

The Central Corridor is zip code 85012 running from Bethany Home north to the Arizona canal just north of Northern then 7th Ave to 7th St. with Central Ave. the core but , the Central Corridor character sometimes expands beyond that by a few streets.

Much of the Central Corridor has been designated historic because of its 100+ year history, for good and bad.

Central Phoenix Homes

The streets are lined with large mature trees, lush green large lawns and beautiful houses.  Its so much different than other parts of the valley.  Trees often hang over the street, the homes have character.  Residents take a lot of pride living here.

Most homes are well cared for and the landscaping manicured.   The people who live here are more ingrained into the neighborhood with deep roots.

You can find home for just over $300,000 but expect prices to rise from there often topping $300 per square foot.  Still prices are lower then for homes found in Paradise Valley and Arcadia, without loosing anything in lifestyle or quality.  There are condos and townhouse communities in the corridor.  Prices range from the mid $200,000.  Some of them are more interesting then others. are as exciting.

Central Phoenix real estate

The architectural styles are a true mix.   Just as in Arcadia, the Central Corridor has beautiful French homes, Tuscan, Spanish, Santa Barbara, Historic Ranch, Contemporary and Modern homes and most fit in very well.  Some of the most beautiful homes are found along Central Ave. but even the side streets have wonderfully pleasing to the eye homes.

Taking long walks or bike rides along the streets of the Central Corridor is a feast for those who enjoy beautiful homes.  Often a wrong turn can yield a surprise.

What is near by:

While many enjoy bike rides and jogging along the historic Murphy's Bridle Path with an irrigation canal on the other side of the street, the nearby mountains offer more strenuous exercise.

To the north is North Mountain a large mountains preserve with miles of hiking trails.  Even bigger is the Phoenix Mountains Preserve to the North East with the highest peak in the valley, Piestewa Peak (formerly Squaw Peak), which offers hiking and great mountain bike trails.  If you bike, its not very far to just ride there vs. taking the car.

Shopping and dining are available at many of the local eateries, many of which are excellent and unique.  Some of my favorites include Rokerij, Taste of Mediterranean amongst others.  We're exploring these restaurants and locals so this will expand as we eat, drink and write more.  A bit further is the Biltmore Fashion Park in the Biltmore Neighborhood where you can find some of the best shopping in the city and a few more restaurants.

This exceptional neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and secluded yet its just a few minute drive to Downtown Phoenix, the 24th St. business district and other top business districts.  The I-51, I-10, I-17 freeways are all nearby allowing quick access to the entire valley.  This truly is the Center.
