North Encanto historic district homes

North Encanto is a medium sized historic district in the Encanto complex area with Encanto Park in the middle. Development started in 1939 but the bulk of the homes were built in the 1940's. There are quite a few homes in the district which is located from Osborn the Thomas and 15th Avenue to 19th Avenue.

Architectural styles include mostly ranch homes, some well preserved and others somewhat modified. The district was included in the Phoenix historic registry in 2002 and in the National register in 2007.

Since then it has improved a lot and continues to improve right along the urban revival or Central Phoenix. There have been new restaurants added and many new local stores nearby.

It is also minutes from the State Capital, Government office in Downtown and Central Phoenix where the revival is in full force. In addition the I-10 and I-17 freeways are nearby with access to the entire valley.

Homes are priced moderately from the mid $100's to about $300,000 depending on condition. As the area continues to improve and the homes are remodeled and restored expect prices to continue going up.
